Private lessons offer our junior sailors a little extra time on the water to grow, explore, and enjoy the harbor at their own pace. Lessons are currently open to juniors who are enrolled in a JIYC program or whose families are JIYC members. It’s an easy, relaxed way to build skills and confidence with personalized attention from our coaches.

Private lessons are billed per hour, per boat, baed on the skill level of instruction requested.

​$120 for C420:
Due to the double-handed nature of the boat, C420 private lessons are priced at a
minimum of $120/hour per boat, regardless of coaching tier.
The rate may be split between the two sailors.

$100 for Race Instructors:

For race team sailors or advanced sailors looking for higher-level racing tactics and strategy

$80 for Senior Instructors:
For sailors who are racing and want to sharpen basic race tactics and boat handling.

$60 for Junior Instructors: 
For newer sailors building confidence on the water and improving fundamental skills.
