This class is perfect for kids who want to take their Opti skills to the next level and begin racing. Previous experience and ability to sail alone is required. The program will focus on boat speed, racing rules, and tactics. These kids will have the opportunity to travel to regattas throughout the spring and fall as part of the JIYC Opti RaceTeam. Minimum age is 8. Cost start at $350. Starts March 11th and ends May 1st .
This class is open to any beginner opti sailor with or without experience. It will focus on rigging/derigging, boat maintenance, water safety, and boat handling skills. Children with minimal or no experience are encouraged to join this class. Minimum age is 7.

Our 420 practice day is perfect for 13 to 18 year olds to build their skills in the double-hand boats. Open to all experience levels. The class will focus on boat handling, boat speed, racing rules, and water safety. This is a great way for those who are entering into high school or already in high school to get more time on the water.

This class is a great way to get the Adults on the water and involved with the double-handed boats. The fundamentals of sailing will be gone over along with more advanced verbiage and techniques as the program develops. We have a new boat in the arsenal with a rebuilt Colgate 26. the boat was built as a day-sailor but with a competitive mindset and the class grew all over the country.
