Charleston Race Week 2026 

James Island Yacht Club Launch & Haul Services 

James Island Yacht Club will be offering launch and haul services for 2026 Charleston Race Week. Please review the information chart below and use the link provided to reserve your spot.

Boats may be launched beginning Monday, April 13th and must be hauled by Sunday, April 19th. One day of additional storage for Monday, April 20th may be purchased at an additional cost.

We kindly ask that all participants clear the grounds by Sunday, April 19th, unless an additional day has been requested and purchased, to accommodate other events and regattas scheduled throughout the month.

Services & Information

Registration & Deadlines

  • Registration will close on April 1st or once capacity has been reached, whichever comes first.

  • A $25 late fee will apply to any registrations submitted on or after April 1st.

  • Early registration is encouraged to ensure space and allow adequate time to coordinate volunteers for launch and haul operations.

Additional Storage for April 20th, 2026. | $100 

Launch Access

  • Gates open Monday, April 13th at 9:00 AM.

  • There will be no early access to the grounds before that time.

  • If no one has notified the Sailing Director of intent to launch by 1600 (4:00 PM) that day, the crane will close and reopen the following morning.

Haul Out & Storage

  • All boats must be hauled out on Sunday, the final day of Charleston Race Week. No Exceptions.

  • If you miss the scheduled haul time and the crane is closed, you will need to arrange haul-out at another location.

  • If you need additional time to pack up or stay past Sunday, please purchase an extra-day pass ($100) under “Shop” or "Merchandise" in your registration.

Capacity Limit

  • Once capacity is reached, registration for launch and haul will automatically close.
